So I know I don't post here or read any of this much anymore, but something happened to me last night that I thought a few of you might enjoy. I was at the Misfits 30th anniversary show here in Louisville, and I witnessed something in the bathroom. I was standing in line, as all the stalls were occupied. The Al Snow walks in, balks at the line, says "I hope you guys don't need to wash your hands" and proceeds to piss in the sink. Yes, I saw Al Snow piss in a sink at a Misfits show. I laughed. |

The Clown Prince of Crime. You are a brilliant mastermind but are criminally insane. You love to joke around while accomplishing the task at hand.

I just watched An Inconvenient Truth. I have seen a lot of things related to this topic over the past few years, but I was utterly floored. See this movie.
SEE THIS MOVIE!
Republican or Democrat. Left, Right, Rich, Poor, Old, Young, Anything. See it. This is not a matter of humans against humans. This is humans against extinction. Please, if you want to give me any kind of Christmas present, just watch this movie. If you want to give yourself a present, watch this movie. Let it sink in. Don't get argumentative or partisan. Just watch it, save your judgements til the next morning. I promise it will not be a waste of your time. If you have something to say about it, go ahead and post it here. Show it to people you love. Show it to people you hate.
We cannot do anything so bad it will alter the grand pattern of the cosmos, but we can do a great deal to alter the existance of human life on the planet Earth. Only humans can save humanity. Ask youself if you are worth it. As yourself if your loved ones are worth it.
Do something about it. |

| | Ugly Kid Joe- America's Least Wanted(in the car a while ago) | ] | The circumstances surrounding this event are rather unimportant. I was at a bar having a beer with some guys. There was a tv on. That tv was playing some crappy local news.
The point is that during this crappy local coverage of a crappy local high school football game, I heard a very important name. A name that will strike you as incredibly funny if you are indeed a worthwhile human.
There is a member of a local high school football team named, and I shit you not, Mario Cartman.
At least he doesn't spell it with a K. |

| | The Flaming Lips-At War with the Mystics | ] | Just in case anyone was wondering, Clutch is still the awesome. Year Long Disaster and the Belrays are not as good as High On Fire and Fu Manchu, but Clutch is still amazing. Last time I saw them, I recognized about 10-15% of the songs. I still loved the show, but I just didn't recognize that many of the songs. This time, I recognized about 75-80% of the songs, and many of the ones I didn't recognize were prefaced with "This is a new song for ya'. I hope you like it." I don't think I am any more familiar with their catalogue now than I was 2 years ago (other than the cd's that they have released since then). They seemed to just play more popular songs from their repertoir (sp?). Anyway, that's about all I got for now. Next concerts? George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic on Sept 22nd, Buckethead on Oct 6th, Southern Culture on the Skids sometime in Nov. If you want to come join me in WS for any of these, I would be honored. |

| The beer is open! |
[Aug. 23rd, 2006|11:35 am] |
And it is good!
I cracked open the first 2 bottles of homebrew last night. Jenn and I each tried one. Damn fine beer. Not spectacular, but quite drinkable. Hopefully during the next 3 weeks of aging and conditioning it will develop a more intricate array of flavors. Right now it's pretty standard amber ale. Good though. I consider this a victory. Next time we will aim for supreme victory! |
